Over £11,000 raised for ‘Cash for Kids’ at our Charity Golf Day

On the 26th of July, our extraordinary annual DCJ Charity Golf Day witnessed an impressive turnout of 86 dedicated golfers. The event, held with the aim of raising funds for the UK-based charity 'Cash for Kids', proved to be a remarkable success.

Cash for Kids is a renowned charity that works tirelessly to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our local community. They work with grass-roots organisations that aim to make a difference to young lives, directly supporting families who often have nowhere else to go.

An incredible £11,500 was raised, meaning we will be able to provide vital support to families and children who are facing economic hardships in our region. The donations collected from the Charity Golf Day will make a significant difference in their lives, offering them hope and assistance during difficult times.

The event took place at Retford Golf Club, followed by an evening meal at Van Dyk Hotel in Clowne. The day ended with an auction and raffle, in which the majority of prizes were kindly donated by Radio Hallam and local businesses.

The Charity Golf Day was a resounding success with participants coming together to not only enjoy a day of golf but also make a positive impact on their community. The passion and dedication shown by our DCJ team in organising this event are truly commendable.

We would like to extend our gratitude and congratulations to the teams who participated in the charity golf day. We are incredibly proud of our team and thankful for the support and effort of everyone involved in making the event a tremendous success.
